Crystal L. Barksdale, Ph.D., MPH
Dr. Barksdale is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Maryland. Dr. Barksdale provides culturally appropriate, evidence-informed services to children (ages 7+), adolescents, and adults using individual, group, and family therapy approaches. Her clinical areas of expertise include depression and anxiety disorders, adjustment and transitional issues, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Dr. Barksdale also has expertise in treating disruptive behavior disorders such as oppositional defiant disorder, trauma, and in using parent management training.
Dr. Barksdale received her doctorate in clinical psychology from George Washington University, completing her clinical internship at Duke University Medical Center. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in child mental health services research at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, from which she also received a Master of Public Health degree.
