Dr. Campbell has been licensed in Maryland and in the District of Columbia as a clinical psychologist since 1992. She provides psychological services to children from age six through adolescence and to adults. She has experience with a culturally and economically diverse population of clients. Her clinical expertise includes providing psychotherapeutic intervention to individuals who present with histories of substance abuse, domestic abuse, mood and anxiety disorders, and early childhood trauma. Other clinical areas of expertise include adjustment disorders, life adjustment issues, pre-marital counseling, anger management, and adoption issues. Dr. Campbell has a wealth of experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents and adults. She has performed pre-screening psychological suitability assessments for law enforcement agencies, and has conducted comprehensive psychological evaluations with youth who have attended private and public schools, as well as with youth who were involved in the juvenile justice system. Dr. Campbell has been an admissions evaluator for the independent private schools in the Washington, DC area since 1990.

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Campbell has experience in conducting cultural competency staff training, facilitating retreats and process groups, and in implementing system wide behavioral modification programs for children who present with serious emotional and behavioral mental health problems. She has been an adjunct faculty member at the undergraduate and graduate levels for several universities in the metropolitan Washington, DC area where she has served as a lecturer and supervisor of pre-doctoral graduate students in clinical psychology programs.

Dr. Campbell received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and M.S. and Ph.D. in Psychology from Howard University.
